The Hochschule Furtwangen University (HFU), formerly the Fachhochschule Furtwangen (FHF), is a German University of applied science in Furtwangen im Schwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The university dates back to a school for clock making founded in 1850 by Robert Gerwig. After World War II, the school was split into two branches, one for engineering, the other for job training.
